メキシコで1400年前の「サポテカ文明」の豪華な墓を発見

メキシコ南西部なんせいぶのオアハカ州しゅうで、およそ1400年ねん前まえのサポテカ文明ぶんめいの墓はかが見みつかりました。国立こくりつ人類学じんるいがく歴史れきし研究所けんきゅうじょ（INAH）が2月がつ4日かまでに発表はっぴょうしたもので、メキシコにおいてここ10年ねんで「最もっとも重要じゅうような発見はっけん」とされています。

この墓はかで特とくに注目ちゅうもくを集あつめているのは、入いり口ぐちにある巨大きょだいなフクロウの彫刻ちょうこくです。サポテカの人々ひとびとにとって、フクロウは「夜よる」や「死し」を表あらわす神聖しんせいな鳥とりでした。このフクロウのくちばしの中なかには、色いろが塗ぬられた男性だんせいの頭部とうぶが収おさめられており、この墓はかの主ぬしである支配しはい者しゃを表あらわしていると考かんがえられています。
