Alvarez's Late Goal Sends Argentina to World Cup Semifinals

Julian Alvarez scored a late goal in extra time to help Argentina beat Switzerland 3-1 in the World Cup quarterfinals. With this victory on Saturday night in Kansas City, the defending champions reached the semifinals.
