Argentina took an early lead when Alexis Mac Allister scored a goal from a corner kick by Lionel Messi. However, Switzerland fought back, and Dan Ndoye scored in the 67th minute to tie the game.
The match changed when Switzerland's Breel Embolo received a red card. The Swiss team had to play with only 10 players for the rest of the game.
During extra time, in the 112th minute, Julian Alvarez kicked a powerful shot from far away to put Argentina ahead. Seconds before the end of the game, Lautaro Martinez scored another goal to make the final score 3-1.
Argentina will now play against England in the semifinals on Wednesday in Atlanta.
