Parents can now stop their teenagers from broadcasting live on Twitch. The popular streaming website has introduced new parental control features to help make the internet safer for teenagers.

stop someone from doing something= [人]が[〜する]のを防ぐ、やめさせる

With these new tools, parents can connect their own Twitch accounts to their children's accounts, for teenagers aged 13 to 17. Once linked, parents receive a weekly email that shows what their teens are doing. This email includes which channels they watched and how many hours they spent on the website.

Parents can also turn off features to keep their kids safe. For example, they can stop their teenagers from starting their own live broadcasts. They can also turn off "Whispers," which is Twitch’s private messaging system. This means teens cannot send or receive direct messages from other users.

Additionally, the new settings let parents set daily time limits for how long their kids can use Twitch. They can also block searches and recommendations for mature content, such as gambling or video games for adults.

All of these features can be found in the "Family Center" page under Account Settings. The settings are optional. When a teenager turns 18, their account automatically unlinks from their parents' account.
