Pop star Ariana Grande will take a break from public life after finishing her current concert tour. The singer announced that she needs time away from work and public appearances because of constant pressure and scrutiny from the public and media.
Grande is currently performing on her "Eternal Sunshine Tour." The tour will conclude with shows in London, ending on September 1. Her team stated that she loves her fans and has enjoyed the tour, but she looks forward to a much-needed break to rest happily and healthily.
Because of this decision, Grande has pulled out of an upcoming musical called Sunday in the Park With George. The show was scheduled to open at London's Barbican theatre in 2027. The production team supported her choice, saying they completely understand her decision, and confirmed that the show will continue with a new actor.
Grande has been in the public eye since she was a teenager, starting on Nickelodeon television shows before building a successful music career with three Grammy awards. Recently, she also starred as Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked.
However, years of public commentary about her body, appearance, and weight have caused her great discomfort. Grande previously warned that constant public judgment of a person's body is dangerous and hurtful.
