Los Angeles rapper Fenix Flexin has caused strong debate in the music industry after suggesting he used artificial intelligence to help create his recent song, "Rubberz."
The controversy started when music producer Medasin shared videos online claiming that an AI tool called Treblo was used to make the track. Treblo, an AI music generator formerly known as Sonauto, later released an AI detection tool that identified "Rubberz" as an AI-created song.
At first, Fenix Flexin denied using artificial intelligence. During an interview on the radio show Mornings With Mero, he clearly stated there was no AI used on the song. His team also shared video clips from a recording session, claiming the track was made by two humans in a living room using standard music software like Auto-Tune and reverb.
However, Fenix recently changed his message in a reply on Instagram. He wrote that he never claimed he did not use AI, arguing that using new technology is a helpful tool for musicians who want to keep up with changing times.
The situation has opened a wider conversation among artists and fans about honesty, creativity, and the role of artificial intelligence tools in modern music production.
