Students preparing for the new school year have a new AI tool to help with their schoolwork. Google has launched a new student hub inside its Gemini artificial intelligence service.

launch= (新サービスなどを)開始する・立ち上げる

The new student hub helps learners organize their study materials in one place. Students can create study notebooks, make flashcards, and take practice quizzes. The study notebooks can display graphs and images. The tool can also read a class syllabus and automatically add test dates and homework deadlines to Google Calendar.

in one place= 一箇所に(まとめて)

Google is also adding a feature called Deep Research to Gemini Live. Students can ask Gemini to write detailed research reports and discuss the results. If a report takes time to complete, users can lock their phones, and Gemini will send a notification when the report is ready.

take time to V= 〜するのに時間がかかる

In addition, a new feature for Google Lens will soon let students take photos of their worksheets. The app will explain difficult topics and coach students when they make mistakes on practice problems.

in addition= さらに・加えて

Google is offering special deals for students. Eligible students in the United States can receive one free year of Google AI Pro, which includes 5TB of cloud storage and higher Gemini usage limits. Students outside the US can access Google AI Plus, which includes 400GB of storage.

eligible= (資格や条件を満たして)対象となる
