Usain Bolt, the famous Olympic runner, may soon play football for an amateur team in England. His name recently appeared on the online squad list for Wythenshawe FC Veterans, a local team near Manchester.
Bolt is 40 years old and holds world records in the 100-meter and 200-meter races. He won eight Olympic gold medals before retiring from running in 2017. Bolt has loved football for a long time. In 2018, he played briefly for the Central Coast Mariners, a team in Australia. He is also a fan of Manchester United and often plays in charity matches.
Wythenshawe FC Veterans plays in the Cheshire Veterans League. The team has many former professional players from the English Premier League, including Danny Drinkwater, Antonio Valencia, and Emile Heskey. Former Manchester City player Stephen Ireland is the team's manager.
The club has not officially announced Bolt's signing yet, but fans are excited to see the world's fastest runner back on the football pitch.
