Gamers around the world have a long list of new titles to look forward to following the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley. The biggest news of the night arrived at the end of the show when developer CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered. Scheduled to launch on September 29, the updated version of the popular 2015 role-playing game features upgraded graphics, improved combat mechanics, and a reimagined skill tree. The remaster will include both major story expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. It will be available as a free update for existing owners on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, while also making its debut on the Nintendo Switch 2.

- Mega Man: Dual Override: Capcom presented a new side-scrolling entry in the classic franchise, scheduled for release in 2027.

Meanwhile, Nvidia announced that its GeForce Now cloud gaming service will soon add official support for Valve's Steam Controller.
