Tennis players Frances Tiafoe and Aryna Sabalenka won very close matches at the US Open in New York. Both players won their quarter-final matches on Tuesday. A quarter-final is the match where the winner goes to the semi-final, which is the round just before the final match.
Frances Tiafoe lost the first two sets against Alex Michelsen. But Tiafoe played better in the next three sets. He won the fifth set in a close tiebreaker to reach the semi-finals for the third time.
Aryna Sabalenka also won a very hard match against Linda Noskova. Sabalenka lost the second set and was trailing in the third set. But she stayed focused and won the final set in a tiebreaker.
Both players showed great energy to come back and win. They will now play in the semi-finals for a spot in the final match of the tournament.
