Netflix is considering adding always-on TV channels to its streaming service, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. These channels would work like traditional television, showing specific TV shows and movies continuously.

according to= 根據;依據(用於引述消息來源)consider -ing= 考慮做某事

This idea is similar to free, ad-supported streaming services like Pluto TV and Tubi. However, unlike those free services, Netflix users would still need to pay. Netflix currently has a popular plan with advertisements that costs $8.99 per month, following a recent price increase.

In addition to linear channels, Netflix is also thinking about selling bundles that include other streaming services. Competitors like Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video already offer similar bundles.

These ideas come as Netflix faces some challenges. According to the report, the company has noticed that users are spending less time watching its content. Furthermore, Bloomberg recently reported that Netflix is trying to understand why many of its shows lose a large number of viewers during their second seasons.

To keep users engaged, Netflix has recently added new types of content. These include video podcasts and videos from digital brands like BuzzFeed and Condé Nast. These shows are designed to be played in the background while viewers do other things, rather than requiring their full attention.

A Netflix spokesperson, Adrian Zamora, declined to comment on the reports.
