Jude Bellingham was England's hero again. He scored two goals to help England beat Norway 2-1 in the World Cup quarterfinals. England is now in the semifinals for the first time in many years.
The football match was played in Miami, Florida. It was very hot and humid, with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius. The players became tired very quickly in the heat.
Norway scored the first goal of the match. Andreas Schjelderup shocked England by scoring early. But just before half-time, Bellingham scored his first goal to make the score 1-1.
In the second half, Norway scored again, but the referee did not count it. The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) showed that Erling Haaland fouled a defender before the goal.
The game went into extra time because the score was tied. Then, Norway’s goalkeeper, Orjan Nyland, made a mistake. He dropped the ball after a shot by Morgan Rogers. Bellingham ran to the ball quickly and kicked it into the goal to win the match.
England's manager, Thomas Tuchel, said his team was lucky to win. "We made the match very difficult for ourselves," he said. "We did not play well, but the result is fantastic."
England will play against either Argentina or Switzerland in the semifinal on Wednesday.
