A two-year-old pitbull named Roo was saved after spending two days trapped inside a dark train tunnel in San Francisco.
Roo recently ran away from his home after something scared him. He ended up inside a railway tunnel used by Caltrain trains. On the first day, train operators saw the dog lying still near the tracks. They thought he was already dead.
However, on the second day, workers saw Roo moving. Police officers entered the dark tunnel on foot using flashlights to find him. They discovered Roo curled up next to the rail tracks and safely guided him outside into the sunlight.
Animal shelter staff said Roo was very scared at first, but he was happy to be rescued. Thanks to a microchip, officials found his owner, and Roo is now safely back home.
