A cute tanuki named Pon is coming to cozy video games, and he rides a BMX bike. In Tanuki: Pon's Summer, players control an irresponsible raccoon dog living in a Japanese town. Pon spent all the local shrine's money on snacks and video games. Now, the 50-year-old shrine is broken and needs repair before its big festival.
To pay for the repairs, Pon gets a job at the local post office. He rides a tiny bike around town to deliver packages. While riding through sunflower fields and quiet streets, players can do fun BMX tricks like backflips and bunny hops.
The game is created by Denkiworks, a studio based in Kyoto, Japan. Along with riding a bike, players can enjoy 20 mini-games, such as fishing, baseball, and sumo wrestling. Pon cannot speak in words and only uses emojis to talk, but the friendly townspeople are always happy to help him.
