Fans of Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney will soon be able to use official video clips in their own TikTok posts. They will not need to worry about copyright rules.

without -ing= 在不……的情況下;未……

Disney and TikTok have made a new partnership deal. Creators will be able to use scenes and characters from famous movies like Star Wars, Toy Story, and Spider-Man in their short videos.

In the past, fans often had their videos taken down if they used movie clips without permission. The new deal lets creators use official Disney materials legally. The program will start as a test in the United States before expanding to other countries.

have [something] taken down= (自己的影片等)被下架/刪除

Some videos made by fans will also appear on Verts, Disney's short-video platform. TikTok and Disney said they will work together to help creators and give them access to special events.

The agreement comes after an earlier deal between Disney and OpenAI ended. Disney had planned to allow AI-generated videos using its characters, but OpenAI shut down its video tool, Sora, in March to focus on other projects.

Experts say entertainment companies are changing their marketing strategies. Instead of using traditional advertisements, studios now want fans to create content that promotes movies and television shows to large online audiences.
