Travelers will soon have a new luxury place to stay in Bolivia. A boutique camp will open in late 2027 on Salar de Uyuni. It is the largest salt flat in the world.
Salar de Uyuni is a huge area covered with white salt. During the rainy season, water covers the land and turns it into a giant mirror. At night, guests can see stars clearly because there are no city lights.
The new camp is called Samkani Camp. In the local Aymara language, Samkani means "the one who dreams." The camp will have six luxury Airstream trailers. Five trailers are rooms for guests, and one trailer is a dining room.
The designers made the camp to have a low impact on nature. Visitors can explore the salt formations during the day and watch the sky at night.
